Funding cutting-edge research

Across the UK, a revolution is growing – on the streets and in the laboratories. Scientists are gaining on dementia. Their knowledge is pioneering breakthroughs and transforming lives. By joining the Dementia Revolution for this one-year campaign, you will power the most ambitious dementia research endeavour the UK has ever seen – the UK Dementia Research Institute.

What is the UK Dementia Research Institute?

The UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) is the single biggest initiative in dementia research ever launched in the UK. Bringing together investment from the Medical Research Council, Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK, the UK DRI is taking on the big questions in dementia research. Six centres across the UK will be home to over 700 researchers from a range of scientific disciplines, all working tirelessly to change the outlook for people living with dementia.

Hear from UK DRI Director Bart De Strooper about the difference your revolutionary efforts will make.

"Research is vital if we are to really put an end to dementia. We need to know why it happens and how to treat people who have it."
- Brian, living with dementia

We will triumph

Our scientists are making a stand against dementia to transform lives. Will you join them?
