Dementia will soon affect more than one million people in the UK, yet there are still too many misconceptions and myths about dementia which are getting in the way of progress.
That’s why, as part of the Dementia Revolution, we’re setting out to tackle unhelpful myths and overthrow outdated attitudes.
In this short film, celebrity supporters including actor Ray Winstone, YouTube star Saffron Barker, Olympian Ron Hill and Bake Off winner Candice Brown, all of whom have been personally affected by the dementia, dispel some of the most common myths about the condition.
Alongside celeb supporters, the film features Dementia Revolution runners Jack Bradshaw, whose mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease aged just 48, 78-year-old Malcolm Brookes who is living with vascular dementia, Anna Law, whose mum and grandad developed dementia, and Luke Whiley, a scientist at the UK Dementia Research Institute.
With your help, we can change attitudes which have been holding us back for too long.
Join the Revolution and help spread the word.
