Barbara Windsor’s husband Scott and close friends of the iconic actor took on the 2019 London Marathon using the team name ‘Barbara’s Revolutionaries’.
Those who joined Barbara’s husband, Scott Mitchell, on the starting line on 28 April were Adam Woodyatt, Jake Wood, Emma Barton, Natalie Cassidy, Kellie Shirley, Tanya Franks, Jamie Borthwick and Jane Slaughter, all of whom forged firm friendships with Barbara during their time on EastEnders. United in support of the star, Barbara’s Revolutionaries joined the Dementia Revolution in a bid to raise much-needed awareness of dementia as well as funds to power ground-breaking research at the UK Dementia Research Institute.
You can still make a donation to Barbara’s Revolutionaries on the team’s fundraising page, or to find out more about each team member’s personal motivations for joining the Dementia Revolution, youy can watch their short films on our YouTube channel.
